Invest in Children & their Parents by hosting a

Respite Night

One of the biggest ways to invest in and support foster & adoptive families in their journey is by hosting a RESPITE NIGHT at your local church, business, or organization. A few hours of free time for a parent can provide much needed reprieve to a foster family.

Respite nights are beneficial for foster and adoptive parents, children, and your church or organization.

  • It lets parents know that they are not alone and that the community cares. It also gives them a few hours to step away from the situation, take care of some things they’ve been putting off, invest in their marriage, or just do something fun that gives them life.

  • It communicates and shows children that there is a whole community of people who love them and want to invest in their lives.

  • Allows volunteers begin to build relationships with amazing children and parents, see the smiles, & hear their stories. This creates an opportunity for volunteers to connect with the heart of God by showing the love of Christ to God’s children.
